Installing software carries real risk
Read this before you install anything
An Android application package can be repackaged to include malicious code with no visible difference to the user — the same icon, the same name, the same interface. Once installed, it holds whatever permissions you granted during setup. Credential theft, SMS interception, banking overlay attacks, and ransomware are all commonly delivered this way. Files advertised as unlocking paid features for free should be treated as untrustworthy on their face.
We recommend, without exception, that you install applications from the Google Play Store or from the developer’s own official website wherever the application is available there. Keep Google Play Protect enabled. Read the permissions an application requests before accepting them, and question any request that has no obvious connection to what the application does.
You are solely responsible for any software you choose to install and for any consequence of installing it, including data loss, device damage, malware infection, financial loss, unauthorised access to your accounts, or breach of any agreement between you and a third party.
Accuracy of listings
Details change constantly
Version numbers, file sizes, minimum Android requirements, permissions, pricing, and features are changed by developers without notice. Information correct at publication may be out of date by the time you read it.
Descriptions are editorial
Our write-ups reflect our own reading of an application at a point in time. They are opinion and summary, not certification, and they are not a substitute for the developer’s own documentation.
We test nothing for safety
