Privacy Policy
How ApkTaya.ph handles your personal information, what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

ApkTaya.ph (“we”, “us”, “the site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights over it.
We are the personal information controller for the data described here. This policy is written to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, as administered by the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
In short: we collect very little. You can read every page on this site without giving us anything. The only information you actively provide is what you type into a comment form, and the only information we collect automatically is what your browser sends to our server and what a small number of technical cookies store on your device.
Information we collect
Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the name and email address you enter, your website address if you provide one, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent string. The last two are collected to help detect spam.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard access logs: IP address, date and time of request, page requested, referring page, and browser type. These are generated automatically by the web server.
Email you send us
If you write to us, we hold your email address and the contents of your message for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and keep a record of it.
We do not ask for and do not collect your full name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, government identification numbers, or payment details. This site has no user registration and no accounts.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined in Section 3(l) of the Data Privacy Act. Please do not include such information in a comment or an email to us.
Why we collect it
To publish and moderate comments
Your name appears alongside your comment. Your email address is not published; it is used to identify repeat commenters and to reply if a reply is needed. Comments are held for moderation before they appear.
To keep the site running and secure
Server logs let us diagnose errors, detect abuse, and block attacks. Spam filtering uses the IP address and user agent attached to a submitted comment.
To answer your messages
If you send a correction, a takedown notice, or a question, we use your contact details to respond and to keep a record of how the matter was handled.
Our lawful bases under the Data Privacy Act are your consent, where you have chosen to submit a comment or send us an email, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and responding to correspondence.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. This site uses only functional cookies set by WordPress:
- •If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies so you don’t have to retype them next time. These last one year. If you don’t tick the box, they are not set.
- •A temporary cookie is set when you load a page to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking of any kind. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work normally, though the comment form will not remember your details.
Embedded content from other sites
Some pages may include embedded content such as videos, images, or links to Google Play and developers’ own websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly. Those sites may collect data about you, set their own cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content.
We have no control over what those third parties do with your information. Their privacy policies apply, not ours, and we encourage you to read them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise disclose it for marketing purposes.
We share information only in these circumstances: with our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database on our behalf; with our email provider, which handles messages you send to us; and where we are legally required to disclose it in response to a lawful order from a court or a competent government authority.
Our hosting and email providers may store data on servers located outside the Philippines. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information remains protected to a standard consistent with the Data Privacy Act.
How long we keep it
- •Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up replies remain readable in context. You may ask us to delete yours at any time.
- •Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on a rolling basis, typically for no more than 30 days, and are then overwritten.
- •Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards as a record, then deleted.
Your rights
Under Chapter IV of the Data Privacy Act, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- •To be informed that your data is being collected and processed, and why.
- •To access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- •To rectify information that is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
- •To erasure or blocking of your data where it is unlawfully obtained, no longer necessary, or where you withdraw consent.
- •To object to processing, including withdrawing consent you previously gave.
- •To data portability, receiving your data in a structured, commonly used electronic format.
- •To damages for inaccurate, incomplete, or unlawfully obtained personal information.
- •To file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose or delete someone else’s data by mistake.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
Security
We use reasonable organisational, physical, and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, restricted administrative access, and keeping our software up to date.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach that poses a real risk of serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the National Privacy Commission as required by law.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we introduce analytics or advertising in future. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use ApkTaya.ph after a change means you accept the revised policy.

For any privacy question, data access request, or deletion request, write to us and mark your message “Data Privacy Request”. We aim to reply within two business days.
